Boarding
Our most popular pet sitting plan is in-home boarding.  Boarding is an ideal solution when you travel compared to three short visits and is a cheaper solution than having overnight stays at your home.  You just bring your dog and the items you wish for them to have during their stay to us, and pick up when it's time to go home. We do require proof of rabies and bordetella vaccine, and highly recommend your dogs be vaccinated for Lyme as well as be on a tick protection medicine since the tick population is so high this year.  Your pet will be treated like he or she is part of our family, while we uphold your normal routine at home.  Whether you allow your dog up on furniture or prefer for them to remain off of furniture, we will accomodate what they are used to.  We have no problem having your pets sleep with us in our room (or on our bed), or letting them have free run through the night to find the right spot for them to sleep.

We have three locations for dog boarding:  In Aldie (right past Chantilly) there is 3 acres for your dogs to roam outside, as well as two rooms dedicated to the dogs' play area.  They have two dogs to play with.  In Sterling, there are three dogs and the first floor is dedicated to the dogs' area.  There is also a dog door to have unlimited access outside- though we also will walk those or open the door for those who need it.  Then there is Great Falls, which is a home with no dogs.  This is ideal for those dogs who may not play well with others.  Here your dogs get almost 2 acres to run around.
For those interested in boarding cats and smaller animals, we also have a home in Springfield who can accomodate your needs there.

If your dog is caged while you are away, we ask that you bring your own cage so we can use this for the few hours a day we are out of the home and keep your dogs with a familiar crate.  Otherwise, your dog will have free run of our home with unlimited access outside through a large-sized dog door.  Most dogs learn how to use the dog door within a few minutes, but will open the sliding door for them if they are too small to get through or find they are having difficulties with learning.

Boarding costs $40 a night for one dog, and $20 for each additional dog.  This is because the boarding and doggie daycare are built into one price.  We also try to keep the boarding to one-family so we can give dogs our utmost attention (though holidays will usually have multiple families) .   The boarding rate is by the night, versus by the day, to also help keep the cost down over traditional boarding facilities.  Drop-off is recommended at 5:00 PM and pick-up at 11:00 AM, though alternate times can be arranged at time of contract.

Here are pictures of just some of the dogs who have spent time in our home to be boarded.
